It shouldn’t be like this.
But here we are, trying anyway. Because what’s the alternative? More burnout? More loneliness?

The Village Care Collective is a community project designed to help families connect with local caregivers, with one another, and with the kind of support we were never meant to live without.
We’re building a trusted network of kind, reliable caregivers and creating space for childcare swaps, shared support, and that elusive feeling of “I’ve got you.”
We take the time to get to know each family and caregiver, not to vet or certify, but to help build connection, trust, and alignment where it matters most.
All caregiving arrangements are made independently between families and caregivers. We don’t employ, vet, or supervise anyone—this is about connection, not oversight.

This isn’t an agency or a gig app. It’s a grassroots community built on trust and connection. We take time to get to know each caregiver, and we aim to connect you with families who share your values, communication style, and availability.
We’re also exploring Village Pods: small groups of families who collaborate on care. That means more consistent hours, opportunities to care for multiple children at once, and a chance to increase your earning potential while deepening relationships in your community.
